Hi, I’m Emily!

I am passionate about helping children and their families overcome barriers and learn to thrive.

This is why I am so excited to offer pediatric pelvic physical therapy at First Step! I noticed quickly once I started practicing that many of my patients were struggling with constipation, withholding, urinary incontinence and more. This sparked my interest in this very specialized area of pediatric therapy.

I provide age-appropriate education on bowel and bladder function and health, the function of the pelvic floor muscles and strategies and strategies to support improved bowel and bladder dysfunction. I then develop specific treatment plans based on my evaluation. This may include pelvic floor strengthening and coordination exercises, hip and core strengthening, breathing exercises, gross motor coordination and strategies to improve toileting habits.
